AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D CPU upgrade and PC cleaning – on-site intervention at the client's home

PC hardware upgrade performed on-site at the client's home in Timișoara, by replacing the processor AMD Ryzen 5 5600 with AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D. The intervention also included system maintenance, cleaning accumulated dust from components, cleaning the graphics card, and applying thermal paste Arctic MX-4.

PC processor upgrade – AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D

The main objective of the intervention was to modernise a desktop system based on the platform AMD AM4. The existing processor, AMD Ryzen 5 5600, was replaced with AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D, an 8-core and 16-thread processor equipped with AMD 3D V-Cache technology.

The upgrade represents a major improvement for the AM4 platform, especially for a system intended for gaming and applications that can benefit from extended cache memory.

The entire intervention was carried out directly at the client's home in Timișoara, without the need to transport the computer to a service centre.

Removing the AMD Ryzen 5 5600 processor

To perform the upgrade, the processor cooling system was removed, providing access to the existing processor and the motherboard's AM4 socket.

The processor AMD Ryzen 5 5600 was carefully removed, and the installation area was prepared for the installation of the new AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D.

PC cleaning and dust removal

Along with the processor upgrade, we also performed cleaning accumulated dust from the PC components. This maintenance operation helps maintain proper air circulation through the case and cooling systems.

Dust deposits can reduce the efficiency of fans and heatsinks, and over time can lead to higher component temperatures. Performing the cleaning during a hardware upgrade allows both modernisation and maintenance to be carried out in a single intervention.

Cleaning the graphics card

During the work, we also removed the dedicated graphics cardto remove dust accumulated in the accessible areas of the cooling system and around the fans.

After completing the cleaning operation, the graphics card was properly reinstalled in the system.

Installing the AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D processor

The new processor AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D was properly positioned and installed in the motherboard's AM4 socket, respecting the correct orientation and installation procedure.

Before reinstalling the cooling system, the contact surfaces between the processor and cooler were prepared for the application of new thermal conductive material.

Application of Arctic MX-4 thermal paste

For reassembling the cooling system was used Arctic MX-4 thermal paste. The thermal conductive material facilitates heat transfer between the processor surface and the base of the cooling system.

After applying the thermal paste, the cooler was reinstalled and properly secured, and the components disassembled for the work were reassembled into the computer.

PC hardware upgrade at home in Timisoara

This work represents an example of PC hardware upgrade performed at home in Timisoara. Direct intervention at the client eliminates the need to transport the computer to a service shop for operations that can be safely performed at their location.

Depending on the system configuration and component compatibility, iTechServiceTM can perform upgrades or replacements of processor, RAM memory, SSD, graphics card and other hardware components, as well as cleaning and maintenance operations for PCs.

In this project, the upgrade from AMD Ryzen 5 5600 to AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D was combined with cleaning operations, so that the system modernization and maintenance were performed during the same intervention.

Result of the intervention

The system was equipped with the processor AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D, replacing the processor AMD Ryzen 5 5600. The computer components and graphics card were cleaned of accumulated dust, and the processor cooling system was reassembled using Arctic MX-4 thermal paste.

The entire work of hardware upgrade, PC cleaning and maintenance was performed directly at the client's home in Timișoara.
