High-End Gaming PC Upgrade – PCIe 5.0 SSD, Lian Li Wireless Fans and BIOS Optimisation | Jebel

The client from Jebel, Timiș County, has returned to
iTechServiceTM – IT & WEB Services for a new stage
in modernising their gaming computer.

Following the hardware upgrade carried out previously, the client wanted
an additional next-generation SSD, a cooling system
that is more modern and high-performing, as well as optimisation of the configuration
for maximum performance.

One of the existing fans was faulty, which is why
the intervention also included modernising the case cooling and
ventilation system.

1. Installation of Samsung 9100 PRO SSD – PCIe 5.0

We installed a 1 TB Samsung 9100 PRO,
a high-performance NVMe M.2 SSD compatible with
the PCI Express 5.0 x4 interface.

This model delivers sequential read speeds of up to
14.700 MB/s, according to the manufacturer's specifications,
being designed for high-performance systems, gaming and applications
that require fast data access.

• Installation of the 1 TB Samsung 9100 PRO SSD.
• Utilisation of the PCIe 5.0 interface for high performance.
• Preparation of the new drive for operating system installation.
• Configuration of the new SSD as the primary drive for Windows.

2. Modernisation of the ventilation system – Lian Li UNI FAN SL Wireless

To improve cooling and modernise the system's appearance,
the existing fans were replaced with
Lian Li UNI FAN SL Wireless 120 mm ARGB models.

The new fans offer control over ARGB lighting,
wireless synchronisation via the dedicated controller and the ability
to configure speeds according to system requirements.

• Removal of the existing fans.
• Replacement of the faulty fan.
• Installation of the Lian Li UNI FAN SL Wireless 120 mm fans.
• Utilisation of Reverse Blade models for air intake at the bottom.
• Configuration of the airflow for component cooling.
• Synchronisation of ARGB lighting via the Lian Li ecosystem.

The configuration aims for an efficient airflow, with
intake at the bottom and exhaust at the top
and at the rear of the case, to support cooling
of the processor and the graphics card.

3. Reinstallation of Windows 11 on the Samsung 9100 PRO SSD

To make the most of the new storage unit, the operating system
Windows 11 was reinstalled on the Samsung 9100 PRO SSD.

Through this intervention, the new SSD became the main drive
for the operating system, offering a modern platform for
Windows boot, application loading and daily use.

4. BIOS/UEFI reconfigured for maximum performance

After upgrading the components, we reconfigured
BIOS/UEFI to optimise the operation of
the system and make the most of the hardware configuration.

• Reviewing BIOS/UEFI settings.
• Optimising system performance parameters.
• Configuring the boot priority from the new SSD.
• Adapting the configuration to the installed hardware components.
• Pursuing a balance between performance, temperatures and stability.

5. High-End Gaming PC configuration

The upgraded system includes high-performance components,
intended for gaming and demanding applications:

• Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 X3D.
• Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX B850-A GAMING WIFI7 NEO.
• RAM memory: 32 GB DDR5.
• Graphics card: ZOTAC GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16 GB.
• New SSD: Samsung 9100 PRO 1 TB, PCIe 5.0 x4.
• Fans: Lian Li UNI FAN SL Wireless 120 mm ARGB.
• Case: Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini.
• Operating system: Windows 11.

6. Result of the intervention

Through this new upgrade stage, the computer benefits
from next-generation PCIe 5.0 storage, modern fans
with synchronised ARGB lighting and a software configuration
optimised for the installed hardware.

Replacing the faulty fan eliminated an existing hardware issue
and the new fan configuration was designed
to improve airflow inside the case.

Reinstalling Windows 11 on the Samsung 9100 PRO and reconfiguring
BIOS/UEFI complete the intervention, preparing the system for
high-performance use in gaming and demanding applications.
